I’m an interdisciplinary PhD researcher at the Microbiology research group of Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), funded by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). My research "Color is Alive" focuses on the coloration of fungal living materials through their own metabolic capabilities. Rather than treating color as a surface finish, I investigate color as a living dynamic property: one that grows, changes, and responds over time as part of the material itself.

I hold a Master of Design Sciences in Product Development which shaped my interdisciplinary approach, situated between design, biology, art, and material science. By materializing research into tangible experiences, my practice moves between applied material development and more fundamental investigations of future material cultures.
